Barbed

I had a clear picture pop into my mind to paint barbed wire on my nails and this was the result.  To me, not very accurate.  However, once I added the silver accent, I started to appreciate this manicure.  Maybe not what I envisioned, but something I liked in the end.

I painted three coats of China Glaze High Roller.  I then painted black with China Glaze Liquid Leather and added silver highlight with China Glaze Platinum Silver.  I finished the look with a coat of Seche Vite.

Red Orange Mix

Seemingly contrasting, really came together as a nice compliment.  Plus, I love both of these colors, so I knew it could only mean right.  The third picture gives a more true to life idea of the orange color.

I used Zoya Isla and OPI A Roll In The Hague for this look.  Both with three coats.  Seche Vite was my top coat.

Yellow Highlights

I'm going to combine a few manicures in interest of time.  I went through a yellow phase a few weeks back.  I love the bright, sunny and happy feelings I get when I paint with yellow.

Yellow Polka Dot:

Yellow Polka Dot is painted with three coats of China Glaze Electric Pineapple and I added blue glitter flakes from Esther's Nail Center.  Seche Vite was my top coat.

Highlighted:

I painted three coats of OPI Miami Beet on all fingers but ring, and added LA Splash Glitter in Midnight Star.  My ring finger was a base two coats of China Glaze Electric Pineapple, an addition of China Glaze Lighthouse and a final top fo China Glaze Celtic Sun.  Seche Vite was used for the top coat.

Sparkle Web

I owe a manicure in this color as I got it as a gift from a friend. And that's about all the description I have! I might be boring, but I don't think this manicure is...

I painted three coats in China Glaze Go Crazy Red. I used Konad image disk m64 with Konad's Special Nail Polish in Black then filled in random areas with China Glaze Mrs. Claus and I used two coats of Seche Vite to finish the look.

I Heart This Red

I didn't have much time to do a manicure last night and so I wanted to get something on my fingers that was simple, but likable. I haven't gotten around to post until today and after reviewing the pictures I took, I am just not sure they do this red justice. It is so, incredibly pretty. I just kept looking at my nails today and admiring the way that the light makes this polish shine like foil. Very, very pretty!

I painted three coats of Zoya Lisa on eight of my nails and China Glaze Cheers To You on my pointer fingers. I used Konad image disc m59 with Lisa and finished with a new top coat I tried CND Speedey (which I couldn't use on my pointer fingers because it made the image bleed--I don't think it is thick enough, so I used Seche Vite on the silver fingers)

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

Of course, I have my tickets to the midnight show of this movie.  It really is an awesome series and I am proud to say I have converted (or at least have coerced) my last two friends who haven't read the series to read it.  I needed something simple for this manicure, so I went with Gryffindor colors--gold and maroon and the symbol of the Deathly Hallows.

First I painted two coats of China Glaze Lemon Fizz.  I then marbled (again, without swirling, just letting the concentric circles create lines) with Twenty-Four K and Foxy.  The Deathly Hallow symbol was painted on with Ulta Black Diamond.  I coated once with Seche Vite.

Autobots and Decepticon?

I finished this manicure and put my hands in front of me and the first thought that was in my mind was Transformers.  I had to google Autobots and Decepticons just to see if my hunch was right, and lo and behold, the images were pretty similar--even down to the colors.   It was just one of those things when you imagine things like color combinations or simple design techniques and the way your nail art will turn out in you mind and then the final result is something quite familiar in a totally unexpected way.

Sparkle Highlight Shot:

I first used three coats of Zoya Sarah and used Mimi for the purple detail.  I lined the design with China Glaze Cheers To You and sealed the manicure with one coat of Seche Vite.

Just A Spoonful Of Glitter

I am behind on posting and owe you some manicures!  I had fun doing Halloween themed nails, but I have been patiently waiting to try my new Zoya polishes from their Fire and Ice collection.  So both of these manicures focus on two of those colors.  I love them so much and they really are awesome and complex sparkle/foil/glitter polishes.  So the best way to enhance the sparkle is with more GLITTER!

Red Sparkle is painted with three coats of Lisa with Ruffian sparkle in Yofi Cosmetics sparkle dust in Skinny Dippin'

Red Rum

I have several posts to catch up on, so the inspiration for this manicure has long since past my memory. But it's pretty!

I used China Glaze, Seduce Me for the base red and then used Millennium with Konad plate s6. I coated with Seche Vite.
