Huge fan of orange.  Just giving you a reference.  I have been loving all the new, bright oranges I have bought this year.  Here is a showcase of one of them:

I painted three coats of Essie's Braziliant on all fingers and added one coat of China Glaze Full Spectrum on two-fifths of my nails.  One coat of Seche Vite was used for the topcoat.

I'm A Star

Stars.  So fun.  And a great compliment to this orange color from OPI that I love.

I painted three coats of OPI A Roll In The Hague.  Using Konad special stamping polish in Yellow, White, Coral Blue and Violet I stamped stars with Bundle Monster plate BM14  I painted one coat of Seche Vite for my sealer.

Red Orange Mix

Seemingly contrasting, really came together as a nice compliment.  Plus, I love both of these colors, so I knew it could only mean right.  The third picture gives a more true to life idea of the orange color.

I used Zoya Isla and OPI A Roll In The Hague for this look.  Both with three coats.  Seche Vite was my top coat.

Orange You Glad?

It's spring!  Fell in love with this color and was so happy with it on the nail, I didn't want to have it share the spotlight with an over-involved nail design.  So one nail with a bit of sparkle, and it was done.  So pretty.  So bright.  So happy.

I painted three coats of OPI A Roll In The Hague.  On my pointer I added a coat of Essie's Shine Of The Times and added a few larger orange, glitter flakes I bought from Esther's Nail Center.  I used Seche Vite as my top coat.

Halloween Sparkle

Since Halloween is just under three weeks away, I thought I had better start doing some holiday themed designs. This one is pretty tame for Halloween, but I thought it was good to start off slow.

I painted three coats of China Glaze Free Love and then added Light Purple Dots Nail Glitter Flakes from Esther's Nail Center and painted atop a coat of Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink and finished the look with one coat of Seche Vite

Gone Batty

I've had a thing for bats since I did a report on them in the third grade; I think they are fantastic.  Plus, living in Minnesota, you have to love all things that can eat their weight in mosquitoes!  And  thanks to bats being the quintessential icon of Halloween, I get to make them the star of a manicure.

For the black base coat color, I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Midnight in NY.  For the orange I first coated with China Glaze Peachy Keen and coated Sun Worshiper on top.  (Sun Worshiper is a very hard neon to work with--very streaky).  For the bats in black, I used Ulta Black Diamond and the bats in orange were first painted in Ulta Angel Baby and then coated in Sun Worshiper and Breakin' for wing shading (and streak cover up).  Seche Vite, one coat, was used to seal the manicure.

Creeping Up

'Tis the season...for ghouls, goblins, witches and spiders, that is.  I thought it was time to start doing some Halloween posts since it's just over two weeks away and the themes can be pretty fun.  I picked up some new colors today from Sally Beauty from the China Glaze Awakening collection for the season in preparation.  Also, I wanted to marble since it's been just a little while.  For basic tips on water mabling click here for my tutorial video.  The design I used for this look was found on another polish blog I visit "My Simple Little Pleasures" (she's a fellow MN blogger, which is great) and Colette made a great tutorial video to show you how to do it, which can be seen here.

I first coated with Zoya Sienna and also used that color in the marble with Yasmeen and China Glaze Mummy May I.   To seal the deal, I painted two final coats of Seche Vite.

Sangria!

I had a BBQ tonight and I made sangria for the party last night.  So, it became the theme of my manicure.  I even painted my toes the same and added the fruit to my big toe.  The Sangria was delightful and so was the BBQ!

I painted first two coats of Zoya Jolene and then followed with one coat of Sienna.  I added the fruits from Cina's Fruit Salad decal package which I got for my birthday.  The fruits are so cute!  I used two coats of Seche Vite to smooth out the final look.

Sun and Sand

This is the manicure I had on vaca.  I wanted to post Kari's as well, but I don't have a good picture of those yet.

I used China Glaze Peachy Keen as a base orange and then topped with two coats of Zoya Sienna.  I hand painted the stripes on my ring finger with So Easy Stripe Rite polishes and then coated with Seche Vite to finish the look.

Sunburst

I bought some new neon nail polish today at Ulta from China Glaze's new summer line Poolside.  After painting some friends nails, it was time for my own.

I used Sun Worshiper as a base and painted Flip Flop Fantasy for the sunburst.  I added glitter on the base of the nail and used two coats of Seche Vite for shiny goodness!
