Game Night

My college buddies and I like to get together and catch up, have fun and play games with one another.  We had a special date planned Friday and these nails are in honor of our fun times together.  Bonus points to anyone who can guess what the "Pictionary nail" represents (The category is "Difficult" and it's one word).

I base coated with 2 coats of Essie's Chinchilly and added two top coats of China Glaze OMG.  All white in the nail art is represented by White On White and black is Liquid Leather.

Pencils: China Glaze Peachy Keen with Solar Power layered on top, and Free Love for orange detail.

Rage Cards: Essie Perky Purple and So Easy Stripe Rite in Blue Metallic.

Pawns: So Easy Stripe Rite Blue Metallic and Lavender for base color and China Glaze Grape Pop and Essie Midnight Cami for details.

Sand Timer: Essie Cindy-Rella layered over white.

Pass The Pigs: Essie Cindy-Rella layered with OPI Skinny Dip'n In Lake Michigan and feet/nose China Glaze Pure Elegance

Pictionary: Drawing in China Glaze Awaken

Team Mensa: So Easy Stripe Rite in Blue Metallic and Aqua Metallic.

Trivial Pursuit: So Easy Stripe Rite Hot Green, Metallic Blue, Lavender.  China Glaze Peachy Keen

After all the nail art was finished, I coated with Seche Vite to seal the colors and prevent bleeding with matting the polish.  Then I used Essie's Matte About You to matte the entire look.

Five Carat Flower

Today's design was simple (after a failed attempt at a manicure I hated), but the bling on this flower is CRAZY!  Haha!

I painted three coats of China Glaze Emerald Sparkle.  Gems were applied on my ring finger from So Easy.  I used Seche Vite for a top coat.

Sangria!

I had a BBQ tonight and I made sangria for the party last night.  So, it became the theme of my manicure.  I even painted my toes the same and added the fruit to my big toe.  The Sangria was delightful and so was the BBQ!

I painted first two coats of Zoya Jolene and then followed with one coat of Sienna.  I added the fruits from Cina's Fruit Salad decal package which I got for my birthday.  The fruits are so cute!  I used two coats of Seche Vite to smooth out the final look.

Quiet As A Whisper

I purchased a new color yesterday and wanted it to be the highlight of my manicure, so this is a super subtle design.  I really like it because it feels sneaky--so pay attention, I'm only going to whisper.

The base coat color is China Glaze Towel Boy Toy.  I used DV8 with Konad Plate m63.   Two coats of Seche Vite finished the look.

Much Love!

I spent the weekend with 5 wonderful girls and great friends.  I had such a great time and wanted to dedicate this manicure to you guys!  Much love, always!

I painted 3 coats of China Glaze Shocking Pink with a coat of Orly Oh Cabana Boy.  The hearts were made with Bundle Monster plate BM09 and the color Millennium.  Hearts were filled in with the 5 colors, Sun Worshiper, In The Lime Light, Sexy In The City and Essie Hello Yellow, Perky Purple.  I coated with one coat of Seche Vite.

To Scales

I'm going the the cabin this weekend for a little girls weekend and a little R&R.  So excited.  I did a water theme with fish scales.  I'm moderately happy with the results.  I really wanted them to look more textured and luminescent as I see fish scales in my mind, but what I tried only yielded semi-decent results....

with flash:

I layered the following colors for the fish skin: China Glaze Solar Power, Emerald Sparkle, In Awe of Amber, Zoya Charla, Yasmeen.  I then used Konad Plate m57 with Liquid Leather first and then Millennium.  To finish the look, I matted the entire nail with Essie Matte About You followed by a center stripe of Golden Enchantment with Seche Vite to shine that center stripe (my attempt at dimension for the look scales give).  Oh, and be proud of me, I recalled all these polished from memory since mine are packed for the cabin!!!

Inverted French Manicure

So I've done variations of the French manicure, the Reverse French manicure and the Ruffian manicure.  This is my "invention" (of course, I can only claim I had the idea in my mind without any influence--not that no one has done this before).

The pink color is China Glaze Sexy Silhouette and the silver tip is Essie Steel-ing The Scene.  I coated twice with Seche Vite top coat.

Manicure......The REMIX!

I had two events this weekend--a birthday party and a wedding. I wanted to do a manicure I could wear to both, but I decided instead to change the look by changing the design. I started with the "tiles" manicure and to change the look to "argyle", I repainted my ring finger and added black tips and a Konad design. It was fun to use the same manicure and change it pretty completely!

Tiles

Argyle

For "Tiles" I used a base two coats of China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint on bottom and two coats of L8R G8R (a holo nail polish) on top. I added two rows of square gemstones and Seche Vite for the top coat.

For "Argyle" I added to the above color scheme with China Glaze Liquid Leather to the tips with a glitter polish Golden Enchantment. I used Konad Plate m60 with OPI Golden Rules and another coat of Seche Vite.

Hotter Than The Sun

I'm in a neon mood.  July is hot and it's living up to the hype--I'm hot!  I'm just a product of my environment.

I first painted a base coat color in China Glaze White on White.  I used Celtic Sun, Sun Worshiper and Orly Passion Fruit for the marble colors.  I topped the marble with two coats of Seche Vite.

Don't Forget the Fireworks

Happy 4th of July!  I've been on a star kick lately, so I decided instead of stars and stripes I'd go with the bang!

Twenty Nails and A Wedding

I was in a wedding Friday and was honored the bride (my sister-in-law) asked me to paint her nails.  They turned out terrific and the wedding was lovely.  I, of course, had to do something special for my nails as a lovely bridesmaid as well.  I really liked the shoes I wore and since am a fan of coordinating shoe and nails, here are the results:
