Winterscape

This manicure is shaping to be one of my favorites this round of holiday nails.  It was very simple, but so whimsical.  Even if snow can complicate our every day lives at times, I'm so glad to live in a place where I get to experience it.  Here's hoping it stays around for a white Christmas!

I painted two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather.  At the base of the nail, I sponged Orly Au Champagne as my snow.  Atop, I added a layer of Orly Twilight for background sparkle.  I stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM214 BM205 with Konad Special Stamping Polish in White.  My final touch was using the dotting tool to make larger snowflakes with Orly Au Champagne.  One coat of Seche Vite used to shine the final product.

Nude Snowflakes

Minnesota hadn't gotten a big snowfall before this manicure.  It was my way of calling it to us, because soon after we had a crazy snowfall!  It was amazing and aggravating at the same time.  For whatever reason, nude is tricky to capture on camera.  Plus, my sparkles were so subtle, I also had difficulty capturing it.  Oh well, on with the snowflakes!

I painted three coats of China Glaze Knotty and added LA Splash Cosmetics Nail Glitter in Golden Egg.  Using Bundle Monster plates BM03, BM14, BM202, BM204 with Konad Special Stamping Polish in White.  One coat Seche Vite to finish.

Happy Halloween 2012

I've been a terrible blogger to you, so in honor of Halloween, my treat is posting pics of all my October Halloween-themed manicures.

Bat-ter Up:

Skull And Crossbones:

Slimed:

Witchy:

Halloween Night:

Bat-ter up: China Glaze In The Limelight, Bizarre Blurple, Bundle Monster image disks: BM13, BM213 with Konad Special Polish in Black and Apple Green.

Skull and Crossbones: China Glaze Smoke and Ashes, Bundle Monster image disk BM211 with Konad Special Polish in Psyche Pink and White.

Slimed: I finally tried the splatter with a straw (didn't like the results as much as my frankenstein contraption).  I used the black light to try to show you the glow and the dark polish, but really it just showed the neon more.  Still cool.  Used Orly Au Champagne, China Glaze Piña Colada.

Witchy: Love this red/orange from China Glaze's Wicket Collection.  Painted three coats of Rougish Red and used Bundle Monster image disk BM13 with Konad Special Stamping Polish in Violet Pearl

Halloween Night: My actual Halloween manicure for the day.  Created a spooky nightscape.  Painted 3 coats of China Glaze Immortal; moon made of a mix of China Glaze Kalahari Kiss and White On White;  clouds of China Glaze White On White, Liquid Leather Orly Au Champagne.  Used image Bundle Monster Image Disks: BM213, BM224

Snaked

I very much liked the richness of this snakeskin manicure, it really gets me into the fall feeling.  I think I'm finally getting ready to let go of summer, but it truly was a wonderful one.  Fall is going to come whether I want it to or not, so let's get ready.  I was just thinking that I'm going to have to prepare for my October, Halloween manicures.  I better do a more consistent job of posting.  I'm kinda on a once a month kick, which is not nice for all of you followers, but since I got my new job and things have been transitioning, I haven't been very motivated to post.  Sorry.  Well, I've updated some highlights, and hope to post some more soon.

I painted three coats of China Glaze Brownstone and added Bundle Monster Plate BM224  with Special Stamping Polish in Black.  I used one two of Seche Vite to finish

Five Shades Of Blue

Screw Fifty Shades of Grey (wink, wink).  This just seemed like the perfect name for the manicure (that turned out to be a very pretty on my nails).

I used the following colors in the manicure, all in three coats: China Glaze Electric Beat, Up All Night, Frostbite, Sea Spray, and Zoya Breezi.  On top with Konad Special Stamping Polish I used Bundle Monster plate BM201.  Seche Vite was used for the topcoat.

Alternating

I did not take a lot of photos for this manicure for some reason, but just know that my right hand and left were opposite of each other.  I wasn't overal happy with the finished product due to smudging, stamping not being executed well and so on, but I was excited to have no polishes on my nails and I do like the chrome colors.

I painted three coats with colors China Glaze Rare & Radiant and Unpredictable.  I added Bundle Monster Image from plate BM219 with Konad Special Stamping polish in White.  One coat of Seche Vite was my topcoat.

Spangled Stars

Happy Fourth of July, my fellow Americans!  I struggle after a few years of themed patriotic nails to come up with designs, but after a few thoughts about new ways to do stars and stripes, this design idea came to me.  I wasn't sure it was going to work out, but I think it turned out great.  Hope everyone takes time to relax and enjoy our ability to relax and enjoy!

I painted first, two coats of China Glaze High Roller.  I then added Bundle Monster plate BM210 with Special Konad Stamping Polish in White.  I then topped with a coat of Seche Vite and waited for the manicure to dry.  Once dried, I applied star-shaped stickers randomly on my nails.  I then did a baee coat of China Glaze First Mate and then added a top coat of China Glaze Ride The Waves.  I peeled the stickers away and added one final coat of Seche Vite.

Filigree Layers

Sometimes when things don't work out the way you think they will, the end results are almost better.  I was hoping that the pink I initially chose was going to be contrasting enough for this manicure, but it wasn't.  But once I applied the lavender over, the pink popped and it all came together.  Thank goodness for mistakes!

I painted three coats of Zoya Zuza and added image from Bundle Monster plate BM222 with Konad Special Stamping colors Violet and Psyche Pink.  One coat of Seche Vite was my top coat.

I'm A Star

Stars.  So fun.  And a great compliment to this orange color from OPI that I love.

I painted three coats of OPI A Roll In The Hague.  Using Konad special stamping polish in Yellow, White, Coral Blue and Violet I stamped stars with Bundle Monster plate BM14  I painted one coat of Seche Vite for my sealer.

Satin Flowers

Inspired by a recent four year anniversary, I wanted a way to pay homage to the traditional gift of satin or flowers.  I really loved how this manicure turned out.  It was fun to use several colors on the disc and get a variety of mixes of flower colors.

I painted three coats of Orly Au Champagne and used Konad Special Stamping Polish color in Psyche Pink, Pastel Violet, Apple Green, Yellow, Coral Blue and with Bundle Monster Plate BM224.  I finished the look with a coat of Seche Vite.

I Pledge Allegiance

It's Memorial Day here again in the states and I am continuing on with my tradition of doing a patriotic manicure in honor of those who fought to serve our country.

On the bottom nail bed I painted a base coat of two coats if China Glaze First Mate and then added Yofi glitter in  Caribbean Crush.  I added two coats to the top of my nail in Orly Au Champagne and striped, with a brush, Zoya Sarah for the flag's stripe design.  I used Konad Special Stamping Polish in White and Bundle Monster plate   BM14 for the stars.  I finished with two coats of Seche Vite for the top coat.

Pink Is The New Gradient

I bought two new Zoya pink-colored glitters recently and thought they would be perfect for a gradient manicure.

I painted a base of Zoya Gilda, then layered Zoya Alegra and Valerie.  I then added flowers with Konad Image Disk m64 with Konad Special Stamping Polish in Violet.  Seche Vite was used for my topcoat.

Starburst

I really enjoyed this manicure even if I envisioned the stars more yellow than green, but I still think the combination is great.  My only problem?  This manicure didn't last long enough!  I got chips within 24 hours.  So sad, I want my pretty manicures to last as long as possible.  This was just a one hit wonder.

I painted four coats of China Glaze Blue Sparrow with Bundle Monster plate BM202 with Special Stamping Polish in Yellow.  Seche Vite was my topcoat.

Flower Power

Immediately after my Easter Manicure, I continued with the theme of Easter bringing new things and spring bringing flowers.  I garden and have kind of been shocked with how early things started to come up here this year due to our unseasonably warm winter.  Of course, flowers aren't safe with frosts coming still and we always seem to be guaranteed a snow in April (we did have freezing rain yesterday).  But manicure flowers are always in bloom!

I painted three coats of China Glaze Dance Baby.  Using Bundle Monster Plate BM205, BM217 and Konad Image Disk m60 with Konad Special stamping polishes in Yellow, Apple Green, Coral Blue and Violet.  Other colors used for the Hand Painting were China Glaze In The Limelight, Mistletoe Me!, and Full Spectrum.

A Capitol Color

I purchased half of the districts from China Glaze's Capitol Colors Collection and have decided that the next week leading up to the premiere of the Hunger Games, I will showcase those colors for your viewing pleasure in my manicures.  I'm starting with one of my absolute favorite colors from the collection.  Probably one of my favorite colors in my entire polish collection--surely for an orange.  Just awesome.

I painted three coats of China Glaze Riveting and added Konad Special Stamping polishes in Violet and Yellow with Bundle Monster plate BM201.  I used Seche Vite for a top coat.
