You can see how matte it is!

After I stamped a design from image plate m73.

I Owe You

Manicures.  I have been behind on posting them, not on painting them.  So this is a combined post of my past manicure and my current.

Glitterrific!

I first painted three coats of China Glaze Solar Power.  I then painted a coat of clear polish and dipped my entire nail into LA Splash Nail Glitter in Trickery.  I used 2 coats of Seche Vite to seal the glitter and smooth out the bumps.

Greenstooth

I painted three coats of Ulta Black Diamond., then used Konad Plate m63 with Into The Limelight and finished the look with one coat of Seche Vite

Celebration Part Deux

I told you I had a wedding again last weekend and I need to post the pics of my re-designed manicure.  In preparation for the dress remix, I bought some new jewelery (although it was vintage, not new to the world--new to me) and decided to go with the theme of brushed metal.  I'm attaching a picture of the dress I had for inspiration.  I'm retiring it for next weekend, but I do have another wedding to go to...!

The Dress:

For the manicure I first painted three coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather.  Then I sponged on in layers Awaken, Millennium and Frostbite.  I striped clear polish over the center after the other polishes had dried and added the blue glitter.  I sealed that glitter with a top coat so the glitter wouldn't bleed (as much).  I used Essie Matte About You on the lower half below the glitter and added Seche Vite to shine the top half and for a final seal of the glitter.

ELF Matte Finisher

Hi,
Last days I saw a matte top coat in a romanian online store (ELF) and I was verry
happy about this because there is not another brand of matte top coat
here in my country.
I wasn't expecting for very much from it because of the price of just 2$.

\

It really is a top coat that instantly transforms a shiney polish into a matte one!
You can apply it very good with the nice brush that it has.
It dryes very fast after applying.

Here are some nail polishes with Matte Finisher above:

The last 2 nails are just with the red nail polish applied, and the first with the top coat.

You can see this mauve polish without the matte top coat here.

The top coat really is awesome! I'm in love with this. I think you'll se a lot of matte manicures in the future. I'm so happy that finaly I got a matte top coat. It's a very good choice if you don't have China Glaze, Essie, Essence or other brands like this in your country.

Thanks for passing by and have an awesome day.

Glitter Gal nail polishes

Hi,
Today I'll swatch and review two awesome Glitter Gal nail polishes.

This polishes are salon quality, chip resistant and long lasting.

The first one is GG Salon nail polish Grape.

It's an awesome mauve lacquer. It has blue reflexions and
a gorgeous shimmer.
This is 3 coats without top coat above.
The brush is really nice, so the application was perfect. The dry time also was acceptable.

The second one is GG 3D Holographic nail polish Red.

The first picture is took outdors, in sun light. They say that the holographic rage are light reflective. The second picture is took indoors, in natural daylight.
I absolutely love this, too. It's just a coat.
The reflections in the sun are really gorgeous.
This collection is newer than the Salon polishes and there also are remarcable differences. The brush is much better and it dries faster.

How do they work with Konad?

The stamped red is an awesome strong color. The Grape is more like a light
pink when stamping, but still it's a nice color.

You can buy them from http://glittergal.com.au for $9.95 each. You can find a large variety of colors, check them out! And the best thing: they ship internationally!

Denim Scorpion

I bought this new China Glaze color from the Vintage Vixen collection and it immediately reminded me of denim.  So I decided I'd make pockets, and name the post after the best misquote from my sister of a local amusement park ride; it's named Steel Venom, but she calls the Denim Scorpion.  I love her misquotes mostly because they have so much conviction.

Right Hand:

Left Hand:

Three coats were used in Midnight Mission.  The colors used for the embellishments were Orly Rage, Luxe, So Easy Stripe Rite in White, Silver and Gold Metallic.  I sealed the look with one coat of Seche Vite and then matted the entire look with Essie Matte About You.  (I find that the matte finish tends to make polishes bleed--as you can see with my middle finger on my left hand where I did not seal first, so a top coat first makes a big difference.)

Close up of polish bleed and paint detail:

Bringing the summer back with a flowery konadicure

Hi,
Here's my newest konadicure with image plate m36.
First I put 2 coats of Classics #205 and then, using a sponge, I put a white creme from
Flormar Super Matte #M103.
Then I stamped the image using Konad Special Polish Violet Pearl.
In the middle of each flower I applied a pink dot with a toothpick.
The color used is Madonna #75.
In the end I applied the Konad Special Top Coat.
Voila!

Hope you enjoy this!
Thanks for looking and have a nice day!

Review: BATISTE - Boho Dry Shampoo

SCROLL FOR ENGLISH

Buna!
scalpul cu varful degetelor si am pieptanat parul.
Dintr-un par cu urme de grasime la radacina si fara volum am obtinut intr-un minut inimaginabilul: un par improspatat, cu mult volum.
Nu pot explica felul cum arata parul meu inainte si cum apoi mi s-a ridicat
efectiv parul, primind volum.

Hi!
Today I'll talk about a revolutionary hair product: the dry shampoo.
What is dry shampoo?
It's a shampoo as a spray, that can be easily used in the moments when you
don't have time to wash your hair.
The shampoo that I'm gonna talk about is Boho from BATISTE.
Batiste is the first brand that launched dry shampoo and also the best brand.
Boho is a shampoo reccomended for all hair types, from blonde to brunette.
It has a citrus nice smell (not strong).
How I used it?
I sprayed it the hair roots from about 20 cm, and then I massaged the scalp with my fingers.
Out of a grassy hair and no volume I got the unimaginable in just a minute.
I can't explain the way my hair looked before and how it was actualy
higher then, reciving volume.
The hair was still relatively clean after a day (then I washed my hair,
so I didn't use it longer).
The quantity of a spray like this is 150 ml.
You can find more variants of this product, for different hair types and colors,
or mini variants of shampoo.
I really reccomend you to buy this. It's very helpful in extreme situations.

NOTD

Hi,
Today I'll show you another cute polish from Avon.
It's one coat of Peppermint Leaf from Avon. Just one coat! Imagine if I put two. Gorgeous!
Shiney and so opaque.
A perfect green.
The drytime also is short.
This is how it looks like (no topcoat over):

What do you think about it?
Are you a fan on green enamels?

When Polish Isn't Enough--Fabric Manicure

I am attending a wedding this weekend (and next) and I'm wearing the same dress to both, but trying to accessorize it differently for both events--first and foremost with the manicures. I had this idea when I was looking for embellishments for today's manicure and I came across this silver lame fabric I had (not as in "that's so lame", but as in the actual fabric type). I wondered if it could be added to a manicure--and lo and behold, it could! So I cut out and sized for my different nails. I accentuated the look by making it a "Ruffian". The overall feel is pretty smooth, but the tips have some roughness because I cut the fabric at the tip of my manicure after it was applied.

I painted three coats of China Glaze Japanese Koi and let it dry completely. I then coated Seche Vite to apply the pre-cut fabric on my nails. I let it dry again, cut the tips to my nails and applied two more coats of Seche Vite on top of the fabric.

NOTD: Green with envy

Hi girls!
The nail polish that I'll show you today is Green with envy from Avon.
It's an adorable dark green, 2 coats, no topcoat. So opaque:

It's sooooooooo shiney! I love it. The drytime is acceptable, too.
After I applied a top coat with green sparkly particles.

I really do love it, don't you?
Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't yet!
We'll have a winner by the end of the next week, hurry up!

Hope you all had a nice day!
Thanks for reading.

Two Sides To Every Story

Threads frayed, time to move on.  This manicure is the result of a failed design idea.  When I first looked at the finished result, I thought I hated it.  Then I woke up and looked at it in a new light--daylight, and it started to really grow on me.  The colors in the Orly Cosmic FX collection are so multifaceted, your eyes are always drawn to them because they look different all the time based on lighting and angles.  So out of failure comes something close to fabulous!  I think I finally got decent pictures of these colors and their contrasting reflections.  The last picture is in natural light and after the manicure had seen the whole day, so it's showing some tip wear.

I painted three coats of Galaxy Girl on two-thirds of my nail.  On the other third, starting from the bottom to the top I painted It's Not Rocket Science, Space Cadet, and Lunar Eclipse all from the Cosmic FX collection.  I painted one coat of Seche Vite on top.

Nude Konading

Hello girls,
Today I'll show you the most perfect nude polish I've ever seen!
I like it a lot! I think it's really gorgeous.
As you can see, I cut my nails, but still like my manicure.

So here's the enamel, Classics no. 205:

The coverage is really perfect after 3 coats.
It's very shiney and it dries really fast.

I painted my tips with a sparkly silver polish and then I put the Konad.
I used m79 image plate with white special polish.
After all done, I put on a coat of Konad Top Coat.
Here it is:

Hope you like it!
Thanks for looking and have a nice day!

Thread Lightly

Today's manicure is simple, but a bit tedious to create.  I bought these Metallic Threads from Sally's and wanted to try them out, but they had to be cut to size, didn't all want to stay down or stay straight.  Either way, I still like the idea and the final look isn't so bad.  This is another one of the colors in Orly's Cosmic FX collection and I think they are so pretty, but incredibly hard to photograph--so the excess pictures this time are less about showing off the design and more about trying to depict the color and sparkle.

I painted three coats of Orly Lunar Eclipse.  I used Seche Vite to adhere the threads and to coat on top to seal them.

NOTD: Grey creme

Hi girls!
I made a new experiment with 2 polishes: one white and one black.
I put white enamel on a piece of paper and a little of black.
I mixed them and then I put it on my nails.
Here's the color that I got! It's awesome!

I think I might try this another time, too.
How I mixed the colors:

What do you think about this?
Hope you like it. Have a nice day!
